There are a number of factors that necessitate tooth extraction.  i.e.:   Teeth that are severely decayed, have advanced periodontal disease, bone loss, have broken in such a way that it cannot be repaired and impacted wisdom teeth.

In the event a tooth (or teeth) needs to be extracted and this tooth is a “necessary” tooth for proper bite, function and/or esthetics, Dr. Michelakis will discuss alternatives to extractions as well as replacement of the extracted tooth (teeth).
