Dental CROWNS
dental crowns
Made using our CEREC technology

Dental crowns are used as a full coverage restoration when the tooth can no longer safely take the stresses of chewing without risk of irreparable damage.  Crowns are used to replace existing crowns, large fillings where decay is noted and broken teeth where a filling will no longer support the tooth.  It is a restoration that looks and feels like your natural tooth.

We use:

Emax: Made from lithium disilicate material, a glass-ceramic that possesses superb strength while providing maximum esthetic value.

Katana Zirconia: The strongest material currently in use for dental restorations. It has as natural a translucency and color as possible—the KATANA Zirconia UTML (Ultra Translucent Multi Layered) series is available in 16 standard shades and four enamel shades, making it an ideal and harmonious fit for almost all anterior restorations between natural teeth.

Vitablocs Mark II: Is a fine-grained, homogeneous feldspathic porcelain. It is considered to be one of the most abrasion-resistant dental ceramics. The clinical survival rate after ten years for bonded restorations is approximately 95%.

Metals: Gold. This is an extremely reliable technique for repairing most back teeth to offer a complete smile and a functional bite. This would be made out of the office at our Lab.

Dr. Michelakis takes great pride in the quality of his work and the beneficial changes he makes for people using all these technologies. These treatments are used for a long-lasting correction of major dental problems.
